1455 Series Enclosures

The 1455 series of Hammond enclosures are designed to meet the needs for housing PC boards or equipment interfacing. With its innovative design, rugged construction, and customisable options, this enclosure provides a robust solution for your electronic projects. 

The enclosure body is constructed from extruded aluminium, providing a durable and sturdy housing solution for your electronic components. With a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm, the extruded body offers exceptional strength and resilience, ensuring the protection and longevity of your equipment. These enclosures are available in either clear or black anodise. 

This series of Hammond enclosure is specifically designed to house PC boards, offering convenient horizontal mounting. PC boards easily slide into the internal slots extruded into the enclosure body, ensuring a secure fit and easy installation. This feature simplifies the integration of your circuit boards, allowing for efficient assembly and optimal functionality. 

The extruded aluminium body of these Hammond enclosure include a slide removable “belly” plate, allowing for easy access to the internal components. This feature facilitates quick modifications, repairs, or maintenance, enhancing the overall usability of the enclosure. Please note that smaller sizes do not include the “belly” plate. 

Designed to meet IP54 standards, Hammond enclosures offer reliable protection against dust and splashing water. This ensures the safety of your electronics in various environments and applications. To meet your specific requirements, these Hammond enclosure offers different versions with various end plate options. Versions with metal end plates include two aluminium end panels that are carefully matched to the finish of the extruded aluminium body. Additionally, two black plastic bezels are provided as an optional installation feature. On the other hand, versions with plastic end plates come with two all-plastic end caps, offering a lightweight and cost-effective solution.
