Elma Electronics Ltd was first established in 1960 in Moenchaltorf, Switzerland. In 1970, they moved their company headquarters to Wetzikon, Switzerland, where the Elma Group is still located. The Group has now expanded to include design and production facilities in Switzerland, USA, Germany, China, France, Israel, Romania and the United Kingdom.
Elma are a technology leader known for their precision rotary and coded switches alongside their military and aviation technology departments. Dependability and ruggedness are Elma’s core competencies and are seen throughout their product range. With over 50 years of design and manufacture under their belt Elma products are now utilised in a wide range of markets, including Defence, Aerospace, Medical, Telecommunications, Industrial, Broadcast, Transportation, and handheld Radio.
Elma’s range of rotary and coded switches are available in a large variety of sizes, contact arrangements and levels of ruggedness. Design modifications can also be carried out to existing products, even for low quantities and Elma’s engineers can modify shafts, bushings and switching schemes. This enables designers and engineers to specify a rotary or coded switch which is ideal for their application.
