1591 Series Enclosures

The 1591 series of Hammond enclosures are designed to meet the demands of vertical mounting for printed circuit boards, offering a versatile and secure housing solution. With their moulded-in card guides, durable construction, and customisable options, these enclosures provide optimal protection and easy assembly. 

This version of the Hammond enclosures is moulded from flame-retardant ABS plastic. This material carries a UL flammability rating of 94V-0, providing an extra layer of safety and protection, making these enclosures suitable for a wide range of applications.  

For a polished look, black enclosures are paired with black screws, while grey enclosures are supplied with nickel finished screws. This attention to detail ensures that the overall appearance of your enclosure remains sleek and professional. 

The 1591 series of Hammond enclosures feature a lid that is secured with M3 x 10 mm Phillips screws. These screws thread into integral brass bushings, allowing for repetitive assembly and disassembly without compromising structural integrity. This feature is particularly useful for applications that require frequent access to the enclosure.  

The internal side walls feature moulded-in card guides, accepting 1.5 mm PC cards. This design ensures precise alignment and secure placement of your circuit boards, simplifying the assembly process. 

Hammond enclosures have great durability and protection against splashing water and dust due to the lap joint design offering a protection rating of IP54. The contents inside remain protected under a variety of conditions, offering dependable protection while preserving simple accessibility.
