Shapebox 22

The Shapebox 22 plastic enclosure from Elma is a unquie fully customisable enclosure that does not require tooling allowing for all the benefits of a custom designed enclosure but without the very large initial tooling and setup costs. This allows for not only shorter lead times, but also makes it ideal for small and medium-size quantities.

Due to the way Elma produce the Shapebox 22 a vast choice of shapes, designs and colours are achievable. The standard Shapebox 22 design gives an IP rating of IP54, however, enclosures up to IP68 are available upon request as is EMC shielding. The base material for the Shapebox 22 is available in 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm thicknesses with the joints being tongue and groove with cold welding. This means that not only are prototypes available with short delivery times but adjustments can also be made without great expense.

Designing customised products like the Shapebox 22 takes a collaborative approach, as such both Live Electronics and Elma will work with you to fully understand your requirements. Elma’s design experts will then bring your ideas to life and provide 3D step files for review. Once satisfied with the design you will be able to choose from a range of colours and surface finishes and include any graphics, branding/logos or labels to be engraved or printed onto your enclosure.
