Micro Switches
Microswitches (also known as snap-acting switches) are very widely used in many industrial and automotive applications. They are designed to be switched by a mechanical actuator (E.g. a cam) rather than by direct manual operation, and as such are unusual in the world of switches. Their operate force is generally much lower than in other types of switch, and their no-stall snap-acting mechanism is designed to deliver a uniquely precise and repeatable switching action. Available in a range of industry-standard sizes, they can be supplied with a choice of button, lever or roller-lever actuators. Fully-sealed, pre-wired versions (such as ZF’s DC-series) provide a highly reliable switching solution for the most demanding of applications.
