The magnetic connectors by GT Contact offer a robust and versatile solution for applications requiring a 2-contact connector that can be disconnected extremely quickly. These connectors are particularly valuable in environments where accidental damage to connectors or cables is a concern, thanks to their rugged design and quick disconnect time. With the ability to withstand demanding conditions, these connectors ensure reliable performance and durability. 

Designed specifically for extra-low voltage applications, such as battery charging, the GT Contact magnetic connector range features a rated current of 5A at 30V AC/DC. One of the standout features of these connectors is their ability to rotate a full 360 degrees without losing electrical connection. This 360-degree rotation capability enhances their versatility and ease of use. Available in panel mount with a short 4mm flange depth, these connectors are available with solder or pre-wired terminations and offer options for either a 90-degree or straight pre-wired cable connector. The cable connector can be customised to nearly any length, with blunt cut or USB plug terminations, or other connectors of your choice. 

The cable mount connector is engineered to fit cut-outs of 20.75mm or a 19.2mm by 20.75mm D-cut, preventing twisting and ensuring a secure fit. It can also be equipped with an additional rubber cap for enhanced protection. The panel mount connectors are rear potted to maintain the panel’s IP67 rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water. Although the panel mount connector and cable connectors are individually IP67 rated, the magnetic connection itself is not waterproof due to its design.
